Martinelli Apple juice - added corn

Martinelli juices have been a staple for us for years. Unfortunately they’ve made the decision to add ascorbic acid to all their juices.

Ascorbic acid is generally added to products as a preservative that doubles as “Vitamin C”. It increases shelf life, and decreases risks of bacterial or germ growth in the packaging process. Making it a profitable addition and allows companies to be less careful and use less expensive methods for purification and packing.

Unfortunately this also makes it dangerous for corn allergies as ascorbic acid like citric acid is almost always from corn or utilizes corn.
