Corn Free and Gluten Free list 10/29/07

New and Improved Look!

The Corn and Gluten free list now has an improved look. The list has grown to a point that I am now organizing everything with sub-headings (IE, Canned Goods, Apple sauce, brand name) :) Hopefully this will make it easier to read.

Please note that while every attempt is made to keep the list current, ingredients and suppliers can change without notice. This list is not intended to be inclusive, use it as a starting point to build your own list of "safe food". And always read labels.

I don't think the Lindt chocolates are corn free. Pretty sure I've had a mild reaction to them. Natural flavour was listed on the package... ???

thank you so much for posting this site. it's o'clock at night and I'm was pretty sure the can of salmon I was opening up was gluten free. I feel so much better seeing it on your list. thanks for your time and thoughtfulness in putting this list together,

I tried the Eden's applesauce and reacted to it.

Enjoy Life chocolate chips no longer claim to be corn-free on the bag.

Nichole said...

Your list says Foster Farms chicken....I assume you mean on the outside and not FED corn? Foster Farms feeds all of their chickens a corn/soy blend, and it is possible to react to the corn that way.

Von said...

Nichole - yes it is possible, but it is one of the rarer forms of corn allergy to react to meats from animals that are fed corn. For that kind of meat you do have to special order it and know how its processed and whatnot.

I recently discovered that a majority of condoms have cornstarch. I just want to double check with people that have a high sensitivity to corn the the lambskin and supra trojan variety are corn free. I emailed Trojan and they responded just like all the other companies I have contacted that all condoms contain cornstarch.
